Our 60 minute classes are focused on a combination of various physical and energetical techniques to release the mind and body from all unwanted stressors. BOULDERING GYM

Climb to new heights in Lakes Atitlan’s bouldering gym!

Bouldering is rock climbing stripped down to its raw essentials. Without the use of ropes and harnesses you will be challenged on the wall to solve short but tricky bouldering “problems”. The routes or sequences of moves use a combination of technique, strength, balance and a calm mind. Our boulder walls are at a height of 4.5m and are floored with professional grade crash pads. The gym offers over 30 different routes designed for beginner to advanced climbers.

Open: Mo. Wed. & Fri. 9:30am - 12pm

  • Q50 entrance, Q25 Shoes, Q5 Chalk

  • Please inquire for private/groups/kids classes

  • If you visit us during our public open hours Mo. Wed. & Fri between 9:30 - 12pm there is no need to make a reservation. If you’d like to climb during an alternative time or would like to book the gym for a group, please contact us for a private booking!

  • Of course! Our gym caters to all skill levels and is very beginner friendly. Our staff will be happy to give you plenty of tips and tricks to get you climbing confidently. If you’d like additional support consider attending one of our educational climbing events or booking private instruction for yourself or a group.

  • Generally yes, however only under the supervision of their parents. Moreover children must be able to follow and respect the gyms guidelines and not be a distraction to the other climbers. For the very little ones we would recommend inquiring about our affordable private classes.

OUTDOOR ROCK CLIMBING

New Climbing sector currently in development

For the past 5 years we have been climbing here on our home crack in San Marcos La Laguna, which has been carefully developed over many years. Unfortunately the property has recently been sold and the new owner don’t give us access the rock anymore.

Luckily our amazing friends and partners from Guatemalaescala have recently founded an NGO and secured sponsorship to further develop climbing around the lake. So we are hoping to be all set and ready for the high season starting in November 2023!

If you would like to be part of the process or donate please feel free to reach out to us.

Aerial Silks are performed in a silky- nylon fabric which is suspended in the air at a height of 4.5m over high grade crash pads. The fabric is hung as two pieces and is set up for practitioners to perform aerial acrobatics by hanging and twisting within the fabric. Our 60 min Aerial silks classes are a complete discipline, providing a great workout that will improve your core, arms, legs and grip. This class is designed to strengthen and activate all the subtle and superficial muscles in the body, while igniting fun and playfulness. These classes are suitable for beginner and intermediate practitioners.

Hiking

Come discover the hidden gems of lake Atitlán by foot

Lake Atitlan is home to one of the most spectacular hiking trails around central America. However, certain parts of the country are safer and harder to find than others. Therefore, we have selected a few experienced and trust worthy local guides who’d be more than happy to take you wherever you desire. Feel free to reach out for contacts and recommendations.

Currently only 3rd party guides available

  • The hiking trails all around Guatemala have continuously been improved and made safe over the last few years. Our guide is only taking more frequently used hiking trails and is doing everything in his power to keep the group safe. At the same time this still is a developing country so 100% security can unfortunately never be guaranteed.

  • Since there are several parts which are fully exposed to the sun, we highly recommend bringing sufficient water as well as good sun protection. For the end of the trail, you might want to bring a bit of extra cash to buy a cold drink or have lunch in one of the local restaurants.

Please DON’T bring any laptops, expensive equipment, flashy watches or anything else that might attract unnecessary attention.

  • For the weekly hike to Santa Cruz we will meet at “La Salla,” which is a small bar right next to the Hostel Del Lago entrance and to the left of the path leading down to Venga. Hikers can enjoy a discounted coffee before leaving for the hike. For any other private hikes we meet directly at Venga. For both please check out the interactive map on our website.
